    The Ultimate Commuter

Like its siblings the C8 has a wide walk-around design which contributes to extra freedom of movement and makes it easy to move around onboard.

Thanks to its easy-to-use, functional and agile design, it is the perfect choice for those who want to use their boat daily, regardless of the weather. In the C8, priority is given to space, surfaces and functionality that provide the best possible moveability and a feeling of freedom on board. The result is easily-accessible storage spaces, wide walkways, large sliding doors and wide passages.

C8 is a flexible and comfortable year-round commuter that works just as well whether you are traveling alone or with company. Despite the smaller size, we have prioritized space that makes it easy to get on or off and move onboard. The trick with the C8 was to build in the same high level of functionality and flexibility as the C9 but in a smaller hull, says Joacim Gustavsson, chief designer at Nimbus Boats Sweden AB

  4. Used Nimbus T11 2022 ‘SOLD’

Comments Off on Used Nimbus T11 2022 ‘SOLD’

The T11 is a 12.4-meter-long walk-around for excursions with plenty of space for up to 12 people to socialize or take part in activities, while also providing enough room for everyone onboard to face the direction of travel when moving at higher speeds.

Throughout the design process we were constantly guided by a single question: “What components make for the best days out on the sea together in great company?”

The answer was big, flexible socializing spaces, plenty of room to move around, good protection from the sun that covers a good part of the boat and several spots to lie back and sunbathe or sit in. It was also plenty of fridge space for storing food and drink, a proper outdoor kitchen with barbecue, a large bathing platform with room for several people to enjoy a dip at the same time and finally an extra-large but easily accessible stowage area for gear and toys.

The cockpit is snuggly put together in the typical Nimbus fashion, with extra storage compartments and space for three people to sit in the direction of travel.

The driving position offers a wide selection of equipment to fit you for the absolutely best driving experience that you can get on the market.

The boat’s heart is found in its lounge area. This is an extra spacious and multifunctional socializing space that can be easily adapted to different activities such as cruising, sunbathing, swimming, entertaining, lunch and dinner or a quiet afternoon of reading in the shade.

Flexibility is provided by sofas, tables and awnings with simple handles that can be used to rotate, fold and move into different positions depending on what it is you want to do.

The lounge area has three sofas and a large table which, depending on its position, can function as a sun deck or a seating area that can either have all seats facing the direction of travel or alternatively facing one another. The outdoor kitchen has drawers for cutlery and tableware, a kitchen sink with hot water and space for a gas ceramic hob. The large stowage space measures just over 2500 litres and boasts a hydraulic opening mechanism that is easily accessible. It has space for everything you could ever want to bring with you, whether that be SUPs, sea bobs, wakeboards or simply an inflatable dinghy. The bathing platform and the aft deck are ample and easily provide enough space for several people at the same time.

The cockpit is snuggly put together in the typical Nimbus fashion, with extra storage compartments and space for three people to sit in the direction of travel. The foredeck offers room for seating and a sun bed. Much like the T9 series, the T11 also has a large storage hatch at the front of the cabin. Thanks to the large gunwale side decks, the foredeck can also be used as a seating area and socializing space.

Below deck you will find two separate cabins with space for two couples or a family of four. Spacious bathroom with toilet, shower and sufficient headroom.

The Nimbus T11 is a spacious and adaptable day boat for great days in fantastic company. It is a boat which values seaworthiness, smart functionality, user-friendliness and a careful, contemporary Scandinavian design.

Please note these are library pictures. Pictures of the actual boat will be published soon………..

  5. Nimbus 405 Coupé 2019 / Commissioned 2020 ‘SOLD’

Comments Off on Nimbus 405 Coupé 2019 / Commissioned 2020 ‘SOLD’

    Nimbus 405 Coupé 2019 / Commissioned 2020

A fantastic example of the flagship of the Nimbus models to date. Professionally maintained and a great saving on a new order. The boat has many similarities to her smaller sisters but offers several new features; Nimbus Design Team has added several interesting aesthetic and functionally integrated details. These include twin touch screens at the helm, room for five to ride facing front, a new D-pillar with integrated ventilation, fully glazed aft deck door, electric powered table on the aft deck and a “granny hatch” that conceals a main power plug on the stern. Other innovations include newly designed engine room ventilation in the hull sides with powered extractors, galley with ceramic gas hob and dark composite worktop, 120 litre capacity fridge plus extra cool storage in pull-out drawers beneath the salon sofa and much more.“We would never build a boat that is not considered practical in her natural element. Although we always try to make her as beautiful as possible, it is a balancing act. It is always easier to design beautiful lines if you don’t need to take functionality into account. Our customers are very conscious, and they appreciate our designs because they understand that we build crafts that are actually used at sea and not only look good in pictures or at boat shows. That is the secret of our success,” said Joacim Gustavsson, head designer at Nimbus Boats Sweden AB.

“Sidewalk” is an asymmetrical deck layout where the side deck along the starboard side is extra wide and provides generous freedom of movement. It becomes convenient and enjoyable to move about on-board from bow to stern, and easy to get on and off the boat along the entire starboard side.

Maximum use is made of the interior volume, allowing the cockpit, salon, lower deck and cabin to be larger than would otherwise be the case in a boat of this size. An important feature of the Nimbus sidewalk concept is the large flush fitted sliding door to starboard. The sliding door provides quick access when laying alongside and enables the captain to maneuver the boat from a standing position on the side deck. The sidewalk concept also allows the use of the aft deck for various activities. And on the foredeck the extra space is used to integrate a large sun deck as a natural feature of the boat’s design.“We focus on the conscious customer with experience of the sea who requires a large portion of comfort and safety. What is interesting about our coupé concept is that it has such a “well-rounded” quality, where socializing and other on-board activities can be combined with excellent long cruising characteristics. Our coupé boats in particular have enabled us to reach out to both new and younger customers internationally. It has become apparent that our coupé boats are not just for the older generation who prioritize functionality and comfort, but also for families and for younger people who want both fun and to voyage securely and safely,” said Jonas Göthberg, commercial brand manager for Nimbus. All laminate in the boat is vacuum injected at the Nimbus boatyards in Mariestad, Sweden. Everything from hull, deck, superstructure, interior laminated surfaces and hatches. “Divinycell” is used in the sandwich laminate, providing excellent insulation properties from both heat and cold and transports condensation away very efficiently. “Innerliner” and “headliner” are built entirely of fiberglass. The result is easy-to-clean, smooth surfaces in the stowage lockers, stowage areas, sides and ceiling. The vacuum injection method, in combination with high quality material and multilayer woven fiberglass matting, result in a hull and laminate that is insulated, strong and light.

The drive shaft with tunnel system is a well proven technology and has several advantages. The straighter shaft angle makes for a more efficient power line and thereby lower fuel consumption and more speed. Better course stability at low speeds and shallower draught.

“Boat Trim System” is standard and functions like trim tabs but with higher efficiency, speed and is automatic. An upgrade to Humphree Interceptor System is also available.

Automatic mechanical ventilation in the engine room reduces the temperature and extends the life length of the engines and provides the best conditions for problem-free boat ownership.

There is also generously sized, strongly constructed aft stowage which is aluminum lined and fitted behind the engines.

In all, the 405 Coupe is a modern, solid and functional boat perfect for an uncomplicated and enjoyable life at sea, all with minimal environmental impact. The 405 is built in Sweden at the Nimbus yard in Mariestad.

  8. Used Paragon 31 Flybridge For Sale 2010 ‘SOLD’

Comments Off on Used Paragon 31 Flybridge For Sale 2010 ‘SOLD’

    Owners comments :-

    DRAGONFLY OF BEMBRIDGE

“Probably the best equipped Paragon 31 in the UK”

“Dragonfly of Bembridge” is a standard Paragon 31 Flybridge model built in 2010, the actual vessel which was tested by Motorboat & Yachting; Motorboat Monthly; and Powerboat & RIB magazines.  This vessel was voted Boat-of-the Year in 2010 for its dynamics, innovations and build quality.  It has been in one ownership having been acquired from the importers, Offshore Powerboats of Lymington, as an upgrade from the owner’s Paragon 25.

It has been thoughtfully modified and improved over the last decade for local trips and longer-distance cruising – destinations including the Western Isles in June 2013 which became the subject of a 5-page article in Motorboat & Yachting magazine. Since then, annual cruising to North & South Brittany, Ireland, Normandy, up the R. Seine to Paris, the East Coast, and the West Country have overlaid regular seasonal use in the Solent and Channel.

Dragonfly is stored ashore from October/November to Easter every year, and has been maintained in a fastidious manner by qualified, factory-trained marine and electrical engineers in Cowes. The owner writes:-

“Paragon 31s were fundamentally designed as the fast Scandinavian offshore rescue vessel, with a sea-worthy hull capable of maintaining high speeds in rough conditions – where crew and equipment are well-protected.  Classed alongside the classic Nelson hull, the Paragon 31 has equal capabilities in marginal sea conditions but with the added benefit of greater speed and stability.”
